1^st edition: February 12^th - June 15^th, 2007

 A first stage of the "Opened doors for future" program has been developed within the period February 12^th - June 15^th, 2007, time in which pupils of the 3^rd grade from Bucharest, Ramnicu Valcea, Iasi, Pitesti, Tecuci, Giurgiu, Targu Jiu, Cluj and Brasov have visited the Vel Pitar working points from the respective cities.

 The children having participated to the "Opened doors for future" program have been enchanted to show to the organizers how they are seeing the Vel Pitar bread within a drawn poster competition. The most beautiful ones have been awarded on June 1^st, 2007 and are exhibited in the Vel Pitar shops.

 The 27 winner teams - three teams from each town where Vel Pitar is having working points - have been awarded with a two-day trip in the tourist resort Bran (1^st prize), Vel Pitar sweets and promotional objects - caps, T-shirts, school bags (the 2^nd prize) and Vel Pitar products - good for the school-children - glazed mini-roulades Roll4Ever, Almadolce roulades, Clopotel (Bell) biscuits, Poieni and 2B+C, glazed mini-cakes and Clopotel mini-cakes (the 3^rd prize). The children enjoyed the goodies and the "entertainment" offered by Vel Pitar: pony riding, arrow shooting lessons, climbing lessons on the climbing panels, popular dance shows and the mostly expected visit to Bran Castle.

 In the first edition of the "Opened door for future" program, there have participated 6000 children from 51 schools from the entire country, following that together with the opening of the new school year 2007 - 2008 to restart visiting the Vel Pitar factories.
